Yuen Lei Leonardo Sai Hoi

The term "winter palace" literally means winter palace. In the past, various countries around the world built different palaces according to the local seasons to provide a comfortable residence for the head of state or a place to handle state affairs. China's Forbidden City in Beijing can be regarded as a "winter palace" in a sense. But if you only talk about the "Winter palace" two words, most people associate, must be St. Petersburg's Winter Palace, also is the Hermitage Museum.

The Hermitage Museum is one of the four major museums in the world, with a collection of 3 million pieces, each with unique characteristics and values, many of which are national treasures, distributed in the museum's about 20 kilometers long exhibition corridor. All of these reasons made the Hermitage a must-visit when I first planned my trip.

Night view of St. Petersburg Palace Square

The Hermitage is located in the heart of St. Petersburg, on the banks of the river, and the streets are stretched out in a spider web. If you walk in the right direction, all roads lead to the Hermitage. When I first saw the Hermitage, I was struck by its size, with a row of mint-green 18th-century Russian Baroque facades in the spacious palace Square that stretched a few blocks away, and the Hermitage Museum, which consists of the Hermitage and four surrounding palaces, arranged in a "sun" shape, covering an enormous area.

Founded in the mid-18th century, the Hermitage Museum already had a large collection of historical artifacts and works of art, and has continued to add to it ever since. The museum has arranged a large amount of space to display oil paintings, the collection spans from the 14th century to the 20th century, among which Leonardo Da Vinci, Picasso, Mdraws, and other works are collected, the most famous collection of Leonardo Da Vinci's 2 authentic works, respectively "Benova Madonna" and "Nursing Madonna", as Leonardo Da Vinci's life in the world only 19 paintings, this museum has 2, very rare, And this is my first time to see the Western master of the original work of Leonardo Da Vinci, very unforgettable. Another unforgettable thing in the museum is the peacock clock designed by the British horologist in the 18th century. The shape is that small animals such as peacocks and cocks gather around the tree. When the time is right, the peacock will spread its wings and crow, which is vivid and vivid.

In addition to the exhibits, the palace itself was a work of art, and I spent the rest of the day walking among the works of art. I entered the library at 10 am and left at 8 PM. When I came out, I looked at the number of steps and found that it was over 30,000, covering 13 kilometers. Now I felt tired.
