Business Development Center of Red Cross Society of China, director of the center for career development Jiang Dan delegation line of investigation research from 2020 to Macao endowment service work. This year Jiang Dan director led a delegation and Macao in good communication, for days with Macao public sector to deepen understanding. The Public Welfare Forum was held on 14 February at Care Action Macao. Guests included: Jiang Dan, Director of Business Development Center of Red Cross Society of China; Wang Yanming, Secretary General of Yaoyang Public Welfare Foundation; Yang Wen, Director of the Public Welfare Development Center; Shen Fei, Director of the Office of Business Development Center of Red Cross Society of China; Zhao Zili, Executive Director, etc. Representatives from Care Action Macao attending the meeting included Chairman John Lo, Executive Vice Chairman Pun Man Leong, President Fong Kor Hong, Vice Chairman Wu Jihui, Executive Vice Chairman Aaron Iu, Secretary General Albert Lai, Vice Chairman and Youth Committee Member David Chan, Brian Fong, and others. The meeting discussed and exchanged experiences related to public welfare, caring for the elderly, and charitable activities in Macau.

 

Chairman John Lo first introduced Care Action Macao as a non-profit charity organization composed of sports enthusiasts, businessmen, doctors, accountants, retirees, civil servants, and union members. The organization aims to promote environmental protection, hiking and long-distance running, and raise funds to support students in remote and impoverished mountainous areas in Mainland China, as well as to support local vulnerable groups. We deeply feel the great success of poverty alleviation in China. We have always believed that "knowledge can change destiny," and Care Action Macao's education and assistance project has supported students to graduate from university. For many years, we have been working hard and quietly, and now we have supported over 200 college and graduate students to graduate, including one doctoral student.

 

During the meeting, everyone had in-depth interactions and discussions about the specific forms, resource management, and fundraising of public welfare activities, both domestic and abroad. Director Jiang Dan expressed admiration for the zero administrative fees operation of Care Action Macao, and for the fact that all donations are used in public welfare charities. He appreciated the unity of people from various sectors of society who actively participate in the meeting, which promotes social harmony and brings forces together for the greater good. The meeting showed that it is beneficial for businesses to be involved in these efforts, and it serves as a model for future collaborations. The symposium ended in a pleasant atmosphere with everyone agreeing that there is a need for further cooperation.
