Wang Dengkui, Gansu: Relatives

Editor's note: Wang Dengkui lost his father when he was young. He and his sister Liangxia were brought up by their grandparents and admitted to college. Dengkui not only worked and studied in school but also worked during the summer and winter holidays to support his family.

I am a senior student at Lanzhou Bowen College of Science and Technology. I have benefited a lot from my experience in Care Action Macao. In February 2017, my grandfather left my sister and my brother, and my grandmother. Fortunately, I am growing up gradually. Sometimes I think, maybe god played a joke on me, brought me to this world at the same time, let me see my relatives leave one by one! Aunt Pan Chuying once funded my sister Wang Liangxia, although the postgraduate entrance examination failed, after reviewing the reality of the postgraduate entrance examination competition, has signed a contract in Xian the working condition is good, she is still thinking about Aunt Pan , often chanting is Pan aunt helped her today.

I met countless loneliness and hesitation on the road of life. At this time of hesitation, through teacher Ran, I was honored to get the funding of Uncle Lai of Care Action Macao. It is really a disaster of heartless world love. Grandma can not rest assured that our siblings stubbornly adhere to our three grandchildren in their hometown. I used to be confused. I didn't know why this happened, and I didn't know who I was trying to do it for. When I looked back, I would find that the audience was empty and I was left alone. But later, I gradually realized that maybe it was a test for me. Now that I have lost them, I can only remember them and smile to face the whole world, including a flower and a tree.

I am very grateful for the fate of the arrangement because, in 2012, teacher Ran and Uncle Lai visited grandma, let me meet them on the way forward, pulled me out of the mud, and let me see another meaning of existence, that is universal love. I believe that their every day must be very full and happy, full of sunshine. I also hope THAT I can be the same as them, to help some people in need, and I am also working hard. I hope my dream can come true. I am a senior this year, and I am currently doing my internship.

I originally planned to find a job after graduation, but gradually I found that education and skills are very important, and it is a platform to improve myself, so I decided to pass the examination of second-level construction engineer first. I can't catch up this year, but I won't give up. I plan to take an exam next year. Gansu's policy does not allow me to take the exam in Xinjiang. No matter what happens, at least I won't regret it. If I can get a second-level construction engineer, I will sign to Xinjiang after graduation this year.

Grandma and Grandpa with the author (2013)

The tuition fee is the loan from the place of origin, while the living expenses are donated by Uncle Lai of Care Action Macao. I will also take time to do part-time jobs. Aunt Pan and Uncle Lai's help to my brother and sister have given me great courage in life. I also thought about giving up, but I don't want to let myself have an expectation that people will be disappointed, well to repay them. Maybe that's the way life goes! Somehow, believing that one day my wish will come true makes my world seem bright again.
